Jay Feely had a tremendous day, connecting on 4 of 5 field goal attempts with three of them coming from over 40-yards. His one miss, a 49-yarder, was hindered by a high snap.
Feely has become almost automatic from inside 50-yards and has been a nice upgrade over Mike Nugent. One never knew what Nugent would do on a given kick and seemed to lack the confidence and steadiness that Feely has brought to the position.
Shonn Greene had his third fumble on the season and has already developed a reputation around the league that he will put it on the ground. Greene had zero fumbles at Iowa yet has shown the propensity to cough it up through 13 games in the pros.
Ronde Barber punched the ball out his hands from behind and ruined a nice ___ yard run. The play would have been called back for holding but the Jets would have maintained possession if Greene had protected the ball better.
Bart Scott committed a foolish personal foul penalty that afforded the Bucs their first 1st down. No doubt it was a stupid play but let’s keep it in perspective.
The Jets were in control of the game when it happened and we cannot forget that Scott has been a key factor in the defense’s swagger this year. He may not always put up the big stats but he always brings a tough, physical attitude that the rest of the defense feeds off of.
